Fond memories of my Auntie Law

Created by Kit 3 years ago

From myself & in behalf of my family...

So what do I think of when my Auntie Law is mentioned... warm, smiley, giggly, softly spoken, fun loving and I really can go on...

I have lots of great memories of my auntie.... from when she made these seriously yummy 角仔 at Chinese New Year - I’ve never found it as good as the ones she made - and believe me we’ve tried... to always being made to feel like family when we went to see her... to all her yummy food - I remember when we used to go over for dinner, Id get out of the car, walk down the side if the house and smell the yummy dinner! She was a great listener to anything i had to say and supportive... I remember when she was showing me how to use the hula hoop to (try!) to loose weight, I tried and I was absolutely appauling! I wanted to give up but it was auntie that pushed me to keep going! She was so patient with me!

There has genuinely been so so many times, my auntie had been here for me and my family, through the hard times as well as the good times... for me, she was there for the very important events.. my birthdays, my graduation in Hull, my engagment party, my wedding in Hong Kong...

One of the most important occasions, which I will never forget was when my grandad died in Hong Kong - I was only very young and i couldnt go to the funeral (for reasons I wont go into here but this was a massive issue for me and a forever regret) - it was my auntie that came to talk to me, to support me, to be there for me, to make me understand, that hes in a better place .... her smile & warmth was what helped me though ... she helped me more than anyone knows....

We will - genuinely - forever miss my Auntie Law
