Ian and I knew Yuk Lin as Clement's mum. We met Clement at university and after living together for four years, the three of are still best of friends. I remember Yuk Lin as a fearless and thoughtful woman who Clement is so proud of. Clement would tell us stories of her upbringing in Hong Kong and the challenges she faced during her life in the UK. He would speak fondly of the family times he and his sisters had with his parents while being raised in Manchester. When staying with Clement and his family we were always truly welcomed and looked after by Yuk Lin and all of her family. I remember her tremendous cooking and her very direct advice on all matters to any member of the household! She will be truly missed but we keep her in our hearts. She will live through us in our actions of love, kindness and strength. Xxx
